Elizabeth had a lovely afternoon surprise of a present of a new blanket and card and a homemade Victoria sponge.

Playdough Mount Rushmore

This afternoon we tried to recreate our own version by making playdough molded faces to sit on Mount Rushmore.

Today was all about chocolate for chocolate day in the morning we did a word search for words related to chocolate then this afternoon we had some tasters of caramel,plain , twirl and crunchy chocolate we had a game of the price is right guessing the prices in a local shop then to finish of we had luxury hot chocolate with marshmallows squirty cream and crushed candy canes and hundred and thousands.

Today we made our own homemade bread the first was cinnamon buns and then we made tomato and red onion focaccia to have with our soup at dinner time it was absolutely delicious

today we celebrated Jeans birthday

Today, we brought the excitement of Wimbledon right into our home with a light-hearted game of balloon tennis! Residents and staff joined in the fun, showing off their best swings, smiles, and laughter as we volleyed balloons back and forth in true sporting spirit.

Today we got right into the Wimbledon spirit with a sweepstake and a cosy watch party to cheer on the big match! 🎉

Residents drew their players and had a great time watching the tennis, sharing memories of matches gone by, and enjoying the excitement of the final. Some friendly competition, plenty of laughter—and even a few cheers for the winning pick! 👏🍓🥂

Another lovely day spent making memories together. 💛

🪑 Chair Exercises with Dave – What a Great Session! 💪😊

We had a fantastic time today during Chair Exercises with Dave! Our residents enjoyed some gentle movement, great music, and plenty of smiles all around. 🕺🎶

It was a lovely way to stay active, boost energy, and share a few laughs together. Thank you, Dave, for keeping us moving and motivated!

Wow wow wow!!! What an incredible day for these 6 residents who had a cruise on the Waverly Paddle Steamer the last seagoing paddle steamer! 😁

A wonderful cruise along to kilcreggan, over to blairmore and then all the way up the loch to loch goil passing Carrick Castle, where we turned back for full steam ahead back home to Dunoon. 🫶

Every single individual has had an amazing day out and all have their stories to share about their day. Audrey commented saying “she has had a wonderful day” Jessie says “ her favourite part was getting lifted off by two handsome men”🤣This is just to name a few.

As you can see by the massive smiles on their faces they have had a marvellous time and even better to have some of our lovely families on board with us too. 🚢

This morning Phill enjoyed a game of chess

in his room as part of a one to one activity.

What a brilliant day at the Inveraray Highland Games! 🎻🏴

We had the best time soaking up the sunshine, cheering on the incredible athletes, and being swept away by the sound of the pipes and drums echoing across the castle grounds. 💪🎶

From the traditional caber toss to the beautiful Highland dancing, every part of the day celebrated the spirit and strength of Scottish culture — and we loved every minute of it! 💙

Big thanks to all the organisers, volunteers, and performers for putting on such a fantastic event. Already looking forward to next year! 🎉🙌

Game Time at the Care Home! 🎲

Yesterday we enjoyed a fun and friendly game of Snakes and Ladders — laughter, cheers, and a few surprising twists kept everyone on their toes! 🐍⬆️⬇️

It was wonderful to see residents connecting, sharing stories, and enjoying some light-hearted competition together. Simple games like this bring so much joy and brighten up the day! 😊✨
